Purse Organizer

I have this co-worker who loved her new purse but kept complaining about things getting lost inside it, so I offered to make her a purse organizer. She loves the color purple and (you might recognize it from the perfume pouch) this was the only purple fabric I had in my stash. I whipped it up in a few hours. The cream colored fabric is a canvas for stiffness (I couldn't find my interfacing... my craft room is a mess). I also added some ribbon and a shiny purple button for the first pompom flower I've ever made.

Yadda yadda blah blah... on with the pics!

First up, here it is all folded up neatly (before I added the flower):

And opened:

There's also 2 quilted pockets on the end big enough to hold a small digital camera and an iPhone (my husband's iPod substituting):

Bird's Eye:

And after I added my pretty flower and button for the key fob:

Close-Up!

That's all folks! Thanks for looking!

Well, here are the photos! I'm rather pleased with how salty he looks. ^_^

I started and finished another pouch tonight. I had the idea the same time I drew up the plans for the perfume pouch, just now getting around to making it though. I *love* it and he's the cutest thing ever. Originally it was made to hold pads (you know, for that pesky menstruation thing?) since it's SO obvious when you're at work and take your whole purse to the bathroom... I figured a smaller pouch would be less noticeable ya know? As I was sewing and putting the final touches on it though, I realized that it would make a cute coin purse/wallet too.

Anyway, it's so adorable and I know Tania's going to *LOVE* it as much as I do. I'll take and upload some photos tomorrow because it's after midnight and I need to get to bed. But I'm excited to post it so I had to get in a small post tonight. ^_^

Well, Tania liked Ronee's purse so much that she requested one. I decided to plan out some extra accessories as well and the first I made was this perfume pouch for her favorite perfume samples. It's pretty simple to make. I hand-sewed everything because my machine was being tetchy the first attempt at this project plus the sewing machine is in the living room and apparently doubles as a sweatshop this time of year.

Anyway, here are the photos. The perfume bottles were cut out of craft felt and whipstitched on. Then I added "scent wafts" in different colored sewing threads with a backstitch.

Open the first flap:

All the pretties! Enough room for 9 samples and one bottle and large enough to hold the 2mL samples from H&EE.

Here's the back with her initials embroidered in backstitch at the corner and a little puffy satin stitched heart. My favorite little detail!

And a close-up! Sorry it's dark... I couldn't get the lighting to work right with the lens up so close.
